Abstract

There is still a lack of enthusiasm for students to participate in social studies learning in class due to the lack of effective and interactive application of learning media. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the needs of developing Problem Based Learning-based quartet card media in the content of social science material at SDN Sudimara 07. The research method used is RnD based on the initial stages of the ADDIE model, namely Analysis by Borg and Gall. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire sheet or closed questionnaire with a descriptive  quantitative data type. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the results of the analysis were not sufficient enough media to increase students' understanding and motivation in social studies learning. Teachers need learning media that can attract students' attention and actively involve students in learning. Students need media that is collaborated with the right learning model to practice their independence and critical thinking skills. One of them is with Problem Based Learning Quartet Card learning media.
