Abstract

Education in the 21st century has an important role in developing and increasing a person's potential skills. Skills that focus on forming a society that is able to master and understand digitalization. Digital literacy is a very important and needed skill today. Improving digital literacy skills can be done by paying attention to the teaching media, models and approaches used by teachers by linking them to digital-based technology. This research is a meta-analysis, namely analyzing relevant articles using "Digital literacy" and "Biology Learning" as keywords. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, related articles were obtained over a period of five years (2020-2024). The articles obtained came from reference articles in English and Indonesian, obtained from several media databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). From the collected digital literacy data, it can be concluded that students' digital literacy abilities are categorized as low and high. However, in several areas students fall into the moderate or sufficient category. Increasing students' digital literacy abilities can be helped by implementing a learning model that is dominated by using digital media in searching, processing and obtaining data and information. The results of this meta-analysis show that implementing learning using appropriate strategies can develop and improve students' digital literacy skills.
