In the 21st century, the rapid development of technology has caused changes in the field of education. Critical thinking skills are one of the skills needed in the 21st century. In education, critical thinking skills play an important role in helping students understand and master the subject matter. Critical thinking skills also help students become strong and independent individuals. Independent thinking that is directed makes students not easily influenced by other people's opinions or information that has not been proven true. One of the preparations that can be done to increase the nation's competitiveness is to target the competence of graduates who have critical thinking skills. One alternative solution to improve students' critical thinking skills isto use the Project-based learning (PjBL) learning model. PjBL can train critical thinking skills. The results of the study stated that the application of the Project-Based Learning learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quasi-experimental or pseudo-experimental method. In this study, researchers can only observe the phenomena that occur in the classroom with certain interventions, namely the application of the Project Based Learning learning model to measure its effect on students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study provide several benefits, including providing a new learning experience to improve critical thinking skills for students. As a consideration for educators in determining effective and conducive learning models in learning activities. As a consideration in making policies to improve and enhance the quality of the learning process that can improve students' critical thinking skills in order to improve educational resources that can produce generations with critical thinking. Provide insight into project-based learning models and broaden experiences in making educational understanding to improve the learning process in schools.
